Nomination Terms
Party Kits for Schools Awards 2023 (the “Awards”) is run and promoted by Party Kit Network CIC (“us, we, our”) of 67 Manor Road, Winchester SO22 5SG.
Any questions about the Awards can be sent directly to us at hello@partykitnetwork.org
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time and for any reason.
Method of nomination
Nominations will open on Friday 8th September 2023 and close on Friday 27th October 2023 at 8pm GMT.
To enter please complete the Nomination Form. There is no charge to submit a nomination.
You may only submit one nomination per school, but there is no limit to the number of schools you may nominate. Should we receive multiple nominations for the same school from a single person only the last nomination will be considered.
Nominations which are incomplete, indecipherable or contain false or misleading information will be deemed void.
We accept no responsibility for nominations that are not received, delayed, incomplete or are lost due to a technical problem.
Any personal information (your name and email address) will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility of applicants and nominated schools
Nominations can be made by anyone based in any country, however only schools and preschools which meet the following criteria may be nominated:
-
The school must be based in the UK (including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man)
-
The school must be an education setting for children aged between 2 - 11 (preschools, nurseries, primary schools and the equivalent)
-
The school (or its PTA or equivalent) does not already operate a party kit.
You may not submit a nomination if: (a) you are an existing member of the Party Kit Network; (b) you are professionally connected with the Awards or its administration; and (c) the members of the immediate families or household of (a) and (b).
If you are under 18 years of age, you must have the permission of your parent or guardian to submit a nomination. You should provide to us the name and telephone number of your parent or guardian.
You are not required to first gain the permission of the school or preschool you are nominating, however we will contact all shortlisted schools to ensure they are happy to be considered prior to the final judging taking place. If they do not respond within the given timeframe the application will be removed from consideration.
We may contact nominated schools directly to verify any information provided in the nomination form. In this case, we will provide the school with the name of the person who submitted the nomination (but not their email address).
Shortlisting and judging process
All valid nominations received by the closing date will be considered. Should multiple nominations be received for the same school this will be made known to our panel of judges.
We reserve the absolute right to exclude from consideration any nomination whose inclusion might constitute a reputational risk to the Party Kit Network CIC and those associated with it.
15 nominations will be shortlisted by our Board members based on:
-
The most interesting cases for support
-
The distance the school site is from any existing Party Kit Network members and the feasibility of an area supporting multiple party kits
The shortlist will not be made public.
A panel of 3 judges will review the shortlist and select 3 winners. In addition, one winner will also be selected for the Zero Waste Maman award. The decision of the judges will be final.
The shortlisting and judging process will take place in November 2023 with the winners announced shortly after via our social media. Winning schools and those who nominated them will be contacted via email.
Publishing content
The names of the winning schools will be announced on our social media (@partykitnetwork). The names of the person who submitted the nominations will NOT be published.
Winning schools will be asked to provide a photo and comment which can be used on our social media. They may be asked to take part in additional publicity activity, but involvement will be at the discretion of the school team.
Prizes
The prizes listed on our website are indicative only. We reserve the right to vary, amend or remove the prizes at any time, without notice, and for any reason.
Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
Insofar as is permitting by law, we and our partners, will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate a winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of us, our affiliates and agents or that of their employees.
